Merry Christmas: UK lung cancer warning sent by mistake

The patients of the British medical institution were outraged by the carelessness of the staff. Some people admitted that they were close to tears.

The British medical center Askern Medical Pract, located near Doncaster, sent a message to its GP patients about “aggressive lung cancer” rather than celebrating Christmas. The Telegraph writes about it.

After a few minutes, the healthcare facility realized its mistake and told people they were sorry about the situation.

“Please accept our sincere apologies for your earlier text message. This was sent by mistake. Our message to you should have been: We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year,” wrote Askern Medical Pract.

Some patients of the medical center expressed their anger at such carelessness of employees on social networks. The Telegraph cites Vicki Southgate, who wrote that she was “shaking and about to cry”.

Southgate noted on its Facebook page that a large number of people received a misdiagnosis mailing list. According to him, “something is clearly going wrong” at the medical center.

Chris Reed, 58, of Norton, remembers bursting into tears when he saw a loved one’s diagnosis notification. He also said that he could not reach the health institution due to the intensity of the telephone line. The man personally came to headquarters for clarification and was told that an error had occurred.

As of now, Askern Medical Pract has not commented on the incident.

We previously reported that the KFC restaurant chain apologized for the promotional post with a proposal to celebrate Kristallnacht’s anniversary with chicken and cheese. The company announced that there was “an error in the system”.

Focus He also wrote that the British Association of Illustrators apologized for the competition won by a Russian woman who drew Ukrainians. According to organization representatives, the contest was accidentally held on the site and was organized by a third party. It was promised that the revenue from the broadcast would be donated to help the Ukrainians.
