Ukrainians began to enter into fictitious marriages in order to be able to leave their country, writes “Strana.ua”. Most often, marriages are concluded with mothers of many children and women with disabilities.

There were even assistants-intermediaries who would find a “bride” for two or three thousand dollars. Women, by the way, receive only from 500 to a thousand dollars for entering into a fictitious marriage.

“The scheme has become widespread in villages, in particular in Transcarpathia, where there are many single-parent families and single mothers raising three to five young children”– writes the publication.

After such a fictitious marriage, a man, being a “father of many children”, can travel abroad absolutely freely and even without a wife.

Recall that after the introduction of martial law on the territory of Ukraine last year, men aged 18 to 60 cannot leave its borders.
