‘Police Academy’ actor George Robertson dies

Canadian actor George Robertson, who starred in the Police Academy comedy series, has died at 89 in Toronto, according to reports. obituary.

“George Ross Robertson, husband, father, grandfather, actor, writer, artist, humanitarian, said goodbye to this world surrounded by his loving family on January 29, 2023 at the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Center,” – the publication says.

The actor was born in 1933, began acting in films in 1965. Robertson has more than 80 jobs in his career, including as a screenwriter.

Among the most famous projects – “Police Academy”, “John F. Kennedy”, “Ride for the elderly” and “Murder at 4:00”. In 2006, he played Vice President Dick Cheney in the Emmy-winning ABC miniseries The Road to 9/11.

Robertson devoted most of his life to charity, was an ambassador for UNICEF. He also studied painting and literature.
