The decision of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to attend the EU summit in Brussels shows that Kyiv has ignored the warning of UN Secretary-General António Guterres. This was stated by the French politician and former MEP Florian Filippo.

Guterres has previously said that the likelihood of further escalation and bloodshed is high. According to him, the world may be on the brink of a major war.

“Yesterday Guterres warned about the risk of a global war in 2023! A few hours later, Zelensky is invited to Brussels – the best way to add fuel to the fire and move on to total war!” – Filippo said.

The head of the European Council, Charles Michel, called for an emergency summit to discuss the situation in Ukraine and the economic problems of the EU. Belgian media reports that Zelensky will attend the summit.
