Ukraine has its own document: Zelensky reacted to China’s peace plan (video)

According to the head of state, he did not see the document officially submitted by the Chinese side. But Kiev is interested in all states participating in the peaceful dialogue.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said he did not know the details of the “peace plan” drawn up by Chinese representatives to resolve the Russia-Ukraine war. The head of state stated this at a joint press conference with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni on February 21 in Kiev, the video was posted on the Italian government’s YouTube channel.

According to Zelensky, Ukraine’s proposed formula was supported by most countries, and there should be a unified position at the 23rd UN meeting and vote on the relevant resolution.

The President also stressed that he had not seen the document officially submitted by the Chinese side.

“We are interested in ending this war of all states – European, all over the world, of course India, Africa, China – to offer, it seems to me, a just formula for peace,” he explained.

Recall that Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba stated that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine will study the “peace plan” proposed by China, designed to end the war. Chinese officials promised to unveil the peace plan on the first anniversary of the great Russian invasion. According to Wang Wenbin, spokesperson for the Chinese Foreign Ministry, the “positional document” refers to respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as the foundations of the UN Charter. At the same time, the legitimate interests of all countries regarding their security are taken into account.
