Russians abroad urged to withdraw money from Union Pay cards

Russian banks began to call on their customers who own plastic cards of the Union Pay payment system to withdraw their money from their accounts.

As became known REN TV, some customers have already received SMS notifications from banks. We have at our disposal screenshots of these messages, which are received by bank users.

According to our data, Uralsib, MTS-bank, Zenit, Moscow Credit Bank, SDM-bank, Lanta-Bank, Levoberezhny, St. Petersburg warned about the possible suspension of the work of cards of the Union Pay payment system , Primorye, UBRIR and other credit organizations that are included in the new package of US anti-Russian sanctions.

At the same time, problems may appear only with servicing cards of this system abroad. Those who are in Russia will not be affected by this problem. On the territory of our country, all cards will continue to be valid.
