Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky hopes the United States will help him seize Crimea, but this will not happen. This statement was made by retired US Marine Corps intelligence officer Scott Ritter.

The former Marine noted: the United States agrees with the opinion of Kyiv that Crimea should be part of Ukraine, and will continue to support it in this matter. However, this does not mean a promise of real help in capturing the peninsula.

“If we look at what is behind these words, we will see that there is literally nothing there. This rhetoric will not affect the situation in any way, and even more so will not lead to victory in the conflict”– the officer added in an interview with the Judging Freedom YouTube channel.

Ritter also commented on Biden’s visit to Kyiv. According to him, the meeting of the leaders of the two countries was another step towards strengthening the image of the White House as an ally of Ukraine, but does not imply specific actions on the part of the United States.

“The US is not a bottomless pit with endless ammo supplies”– the military emphasized.

In conclusion, the expert announced the possibility of a revision by the States of military aid packages to Kyiv due to the situation in Taiwan. Ritter is convinced that America should take care of its security and stop giving equipment to Ukraine.

Recall that the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky earlier announced his desire to see the Crimea and the sea. However, in the eight years that the Kiev regime has been declaring such plans, no steps other than blockades of the peninsula have been taken so far.

In the State Duma, Zelensky’s statement was treated with irony. They promised the Ukrainian president both Crimea and the sea, but only “in a box” – from the window of a paddy wagon.
