On February 25, a wrecked tank with the Ukrainian flag was set up near the Russian embassy in Berlin. From a pro-Ukrainian action turned into a pro-Russian one: the Germans began to protest against the supply of weapons to Ukraine, and the inhabitants of Germany began to bring flowers to the tank. Today, February 26, the vandals gathered near the tank and began to violently knock down flowers brought earlier from it. This led to clashes. Shared footage from the sceneNews“.

Skirmishes began with those who tried to return them to their place. In turn, local residents tried to calm down the activists and offered to interpret the laying of flowers as a sign of mourning for all those who died in the conflict.

But the brawlers climbed onto the tank, where they could no longer interfere, and defiantly continued to destroy the flowers. But people began to come up again with bouquets and lay them back.

“Russia cannot be defeated. America is to blame for everything”, – said a local resident, laying flowers. But his bouquet, placed on the tank, was immediately dropped.

At the same time, the Berlin police did not interfere with throwing carnations from a tank exposed at the Russian embassy.

Earlier, the Russian Embassy in Germany reported that the Germans did not appreciate the provocation with the tank in Berlin. According to the statement of the diplomatic mission, the pro-Ukrainian action did not meet with the understanding, support and sympathy of the German citizens, and they very clearly spoke in favor of a peaceful settlement of the Ukrainian conflict.
