Vernon E. Kelson, 22, was arrested on a number of charges, including written threats to kill or cause bodily harm. Displaying a firearm while committing a felony and carrying a concealed firearm, according to Miami-Dade police officers.

Authorities said detectives were monitoring social media when they discovered a video from an account they knew about from a previous investigation.
Video released by police shows Kelson sitting in a moving car holding an AK-47 as he passes a Miami-Dade police car, authorities said.
Kelson threatened to shoot the police if they stopped him, authorities said.
“Law enforcement officers put on their uniforms every day and leave their homes without knowing if they will come back,” Miami-Dade Police Director Freddy Ramirez said.
“I will in no way tolerate anyone threatening my officers or anyone who wears a badge on their chest. I will provide all the resources of the Miami-Dade Police Department to bring these individuals to justice.”
Kelson was sent to the Turner Gilford Knight Correctional Center in the aforementioned Florida county. and is expected to appear in court on bail this Wednesday.
