An international team of scientists said orbiting satellites interfere with space observations. It’s in the magazine nature astronomy.

Satellites that are in the field of view of telescopes can create bright streaks in images, making satellite images useless for science, scientists say.

The article notes that the number of satellites and space debris in the future will only increase. Astronomers believe that the problem can be solved by creating special zones in which satellite activity will be limited.

Could space debris start raining down on our heads? Can the probability of death from space debris increase? How much waste has accumulated in orbit? And how do “space cleaners” work? Details about this and much more – in the program “Science and Technology” with the host Mikhail Borzenkov. The science blockbuster will air on Sunday, March 12 at 10:30 am on REN TV.
