Russia sent a request to the UN Security Council to hold an open meeting on March 14 at 17:00 Moscow time. This statement was made by Dmitry Polyansky, First Deputy Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the World Organization.

According to the diplomat, the topic of discussion should be Russophobia as a factor that hinders the resolution of the conflict in Ukraine.

“Of course, let’s go through Russophobia both in Ukraine and in the West”Polansky added.

The First Deputy Representative of the Russian Federation to the UN also clarified that the names of the speakers will be announced only on the eve of the meeting. This measure was taken so that they were not subjected to external pressure.

Earlier, Polyansky commented on the final version of the anti-Russian resolution of the UN General Assembly on Ukraine. The diplomat claims that the text of the document was softened so much that even Russia could accept it. At the same time, he is sure that the final version of the resolution is far from the expectations of the Kyiv authorities.
