US response to the visit Xi Jinping
US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken described Xi Jinping’s visit to Moscow as a diplomatic front for the “Russian atrocities committed in Ukraine.”
Blinken recalled that Xi went to Russia a few days after the International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant for Russian President Vladimir Putin.
According to Blinken, Chinese authorities do not hold the Kremlin responsible for war crimes in Ukraine.
“Instead of condemning them, they are providing a diplomatic cover that pushes Russia to commit more crimes,” the Foreign Minister said at a press conference at the Foreign Ministry.
Previously Focus Xi Jinping reported that he stayed at the hotel of the Chinese Soluxe Hotels chain, which entered the Russian market after the departure of global hotel operators such as InterContinental Hotel Group, Marriott, Hyatt and Four Seasons in Moscow.
