Over the past two weeks, about 70 Ukrainian servicemen have surrendered to Russian captivity in the DPR. Writes about it TASS with reference to a representative of the power structures of the region.

“Most of the (AFU fighters) laid down their arms voluntarily, wanting to save their lives”– added the source of the agency.

The silovik also noted that the soldiers who came from the Avdiivka, Donetsk and Vuglodar directions were mostly surrendered.

Earlier, a soldier of the 54th brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, taken prisoner near Belogorovka in the LPR, said that the Ukrainian army did not have enough people. Because of this, Kyiv goes to extreme measures, sending even disabled people to the front. At the same time, the authorities put in an uncomfortable position doctors who conduct medical examinations, who are forced to recognize people with serious illnesses as “healthy”.
