At the moment, the majority of government members, according to the portal, are in favor of suspending the process of introducing a new judicial reform. And the head of the country’s Ministry of Justice, Yariv Levin, who is the main ideologist of the reform, said that he would resign if the adoption of the reform was suspended.

Recall, earlier it became known that on March 26, protesters against the reform broke through the police cordon to the residence of the Prime Minister of Israel.

And before that, it became known that Netanyahu removed from the post of Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant. He advocated the suspension of judicial reform.

Recall that the new reform provides for limiting the powers of the Supreme Court. It will also give the cabinet control over the selection of judges.
