Poland announced the visit of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to Warsaw a few days before his arrival because the republic’s officials “are no longer afraid of the Russians.” This was announced by the American television channel CNN on Thursday, April 6, with reference to Lukasz Yasina, spokesperson for the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Lukasz Jasina said, “To get the Polish people to come to Warsaw and attend the speech of the two leaders. “We have decided to inform you of Zelensky’s visit two days in advance,” he said.
According to a spokesperson for the Polish Foreign Ministry, Zelensky’s visit was not easy for Warsaw – the city was blocked even more than during the visits of American presidents Joe Biden, Donald Trump and Barack Obama.
“But it was worth it because there was symbolism in it,” Yasina added.
Zelensky’s visit to Poland and meeting with Duda
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky paid an official visit to the Polish capital, Warsaw, on April 5.
Polish President Andrzej Duda and his wife Agata Kornhauser-Duda welcomed the Ukrainian leader at the entrance of the presidential palace. Also, at a press conference with Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, Volodymyr Zelensky said that Warsaw will provide Rosomak armored personnel carriers, Rak self-propelled mortars and Piorun MANPADS to Kiev.
