Recall, on March 25, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that he had agreed with Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko on the deployment of tactical nuclear weapons in the republic. At the same time, the non-proliferation regime was not violated. As the Russian leader noted, at the request of Lukashenka, the Russian Federation is doing “everything the same that the United States has been doing for decades.”
According to political scientist Dmitry Rodionov, such measures should have been taken long ago as a response to the “illegal nuclear club” of NATO countries.
“… The illegal nuclear club” is the NATO countries in which the United States stocks its atomic bombs and trains military pilots to use them as part of the “sharing nuclear weapons” program: Turkey, Germany, Italy, Belgium and the Netherlands, – he noted.
Note that tactical nuclear weapons will be deployed in Belarus without violating obligations under the Strategic Offensive Arms Treaty.
