The United States bugged officials from South Korea. This is evidenced by data from the Pentagon secret documents leaked to the Network, writes The New York Times.

According to the publication, the secret reports were based on information received by the electronic intelligence. This indicates that Washington was keeping an eye on “one of its main allies in Asia.”

The secret documents indicated that Seoul insisted that the United States become the “end consumer” of South Korean-made artillery shells. However, aides to the President of the country, Yun Sok Yel, were afraid that the Americans would transport ammunition to Kyiv. A similar position was held by the secretary for international affairs of that time, Lee Moon-hee.

Recall that on April 8, it became known about the leak of a new batch of US documents to the Network, which plunged the Pentagon leadership into a panic. Preliminarily, they concern the secrets of American national security about Ukraine, the Middle East and China.

After that, the NYT released an article, the author of which stated that many countries now doubt Washington’s ability to store information.
