Framed under attack: Dog saves woman from angry ex with knife in hand

A dog named Jet attacked Jake Shaw, who managed to react and grabbed him by the throat and knocked him to the ground. As the man continued to wrestle with the animal, Kirsty Burrows managed to escape and went to her mother.

In the UK, Kirsty Burroughs survived a knife attack when her loyal dog jumped on her ex-boyfriend, Jake Shaw, and allowed her owner to walk away unscathed. This was reported by the Daily Star.

The publication writes that the 30-year-old man went to jail twice before attacking himself. The second case might have been fatal, but he rushed to Shaw when his dog, Jet, tried to catch him while holding a combat knife.

The Royal Court of Liverpool (England) sentenced a man to 10 months in prison after pleading guilty to two assaults on Kirsty that resulted in actual bodily harm.

The couple began their relationship after chatting on the dating site Plenty of Fish, but what began as a thrilling romance turned into a grueling eight-year relationship, often marked by harassment and violent outbursts. Shaw’s most recent convictions came after he repeatedly hit Kirsty in the head with a shovel in front of his children, attempting to strangle him and cut him with a knife.

As the couple started arguing again, the dog Jet ran to Shaw, who grabbed him by the throat and knocked him to the ground. As she continued to fight the beast, Kirsty managed to escape to her mother. In a statement read to the court on his behalf, Burroughs said he has since been diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder, which has had panic attacks and nightmares.

The woman added, “I feel like my life is useless now. I don’t feel like myself. It seems like what happened to me will never leave me.”

Kirsty also revealed that Jet suffered after the incident.

“I took him to a veteran and he was diagnosed with anxiety, he lost a lot of weight. They had to give him an injection,” the British said of the dog’s condition.

It was also reported that a missing woman was found alive in a sunken jeep in the United States. The sheriff’s deputies were unable to determine exactly how the car fell into the lake and how long it remained there.
