Secret schematics for the £1.3bn submarine HMS Anson have been found in a bar closet in Barrow-in-Furness, Britain. About it writes The Sun newspaper.
“It was quite a busy night. There were many people in the pub, military and civilian. I went to the toilet, and the documents were lying on the floor in the cubicle. Anyone could find them“, – said the man who found the documents.
It is reported that the diagrams contained information about the hydraulic systems of the torpedo rooms and steering of the submarine.
A source in the Navy noted that the documents could have been accessed by anyone working on a submarine, since they are part of the instructions for its operation.
The nuclear submarine HMS Anson went to sea for the first time in February 2023. Experts interviewed by The Sun suggested that the ship’s crew could have taken the documents home to study the new technology in more detail.
Earlier in Belfast, a passerby on the street found secret documents related to the visit of US President Joe Biden to the UK.
