Apparently Over the years, the world has become more dangerous. at least some people think so survey of parents who believe that the modern world is unsafe for children.
A survey of 2,000 mothers and fathers revealed that parents consider the 80s the safest time for childhoodor 18% voted for this decade compared to 5% who chose the 2020s.
Even though the 1980s are the safest, many parents turn to modern technology for helpas 57% provide their children with a telephone so that they are in constant contact.
Fear of communicating with strangers
In other questions of the same survey conducted by OnerPoll, nearly one in five parents say their child has at some time been approached by a stranger. In particular, the study shows that in 18% of cases, their children told them that a stranger tried to talk to them.
Of these, 31% notified the police of the incident, and 45% reported to other authorities, such as their child’s school.. However, one in three (34%) believe that schools and other organizations do not have the training or resources to adequately address safety issues.
The study also shows that 69% of parents believe their children should learn about “stranger danger” before the age of five. Another 12% believe that young children should be aware of these dangers before the age of three.
Although 88 percent of respondents discussed the dangers of talking to strangers.. 32 percent of parents are afraid to scare their child by talking about it. Almost one in five parents (19%) avoid this topic because they lack the knowledge to adequately discuss the danger of a stranger.
