After checking the ultrasound and MRI machines, it became clear that the needle and thread left in the woman’s body after an operation 11 years ago was the cause of Maria Forero’s constant pain.

Maria Aderlinda Forero, 39, from Colombia, has been in severe pain for 11 years due to a needle and thread stabbing into her body. Subway writes about it.

The woman had her fallopian tubes tied to avoid becoming pregnant after giving birth to her fourth child in 2012. However, as a result of an accidental mistake, the doctors left a needle and thread in his body.

A few days after the procedure, Maria began to experience pain, which only gradually intensified. More and more powerful painkillers were prescribed, but sometimes the pain was so severe that he could not sleep or move.

“After a few days the pain started,” Forero said.

Thus, Maria lived with a feeling of intense pain for more than ten years, until the cause was definitively determined.

Checks on ultrasound and MRI machines showed that the cause of the constant pain was the needle and thread left in the woman’s body after an operation she had 11 years ago.

“The doctor said that they forgot the needle and thread during the operation. I couldn’t believe it, the doctor too,” he said.

Maria Forero is currently awaiting a risk assessment for an operation to remove forgotten medical instruments from her body.
