Another foreign politician, Alexander Lukashenko, flew to Moscow for the parade dedicated to Victory Day. At the same time, his visit was officially recognized after his arrival in the Russian capital. This was reported on May 8 by the Telegram channel “Pool of the First”.
Journalists released a video showing the official plane of the Belarusian politician landing in Moscow. At the same time, the information was not previously confirmed by Minsk or Moscow.
He will be the sixth foreign guest to participate in the military parade in Moscow, which coincides with Victory Day.
Military parade in Moscow: who will fly to Putin for the holiday
Initially, the Kremlin officially confirmed that only one foreign leader – Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov will be present at the parade.
Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Peskov, said that “history is not round” this year, so allegedly the Kremlin did not even try to send an invitation.
The message states, “There was no special invitation (to foreign leaders) this year. This is not a round date.”
As a result, according to Russian media, six politicians will participate in tomorrow’s parade, including:
- Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of Kazakhstan;
- Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan;
- President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov;
- Tajik President Emomali Rahmon;
- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev;
- Alexander Lukashenko.
Vladimir Putin also invited the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, to the Kremlin, but there was no official confirmation.
Recall that on May 8, the Spokesperson of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Yuri Ignat announced that on May 9 he was making preparations for provocation from the Russian Federation.
