Opposition candidate in the Turkish presidential election Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu voted in the country’s capital Ankara. It is reported RIA News.

He cast his vote at the Argentine Primary School in the Cankaya area, where he came with his wife and the mayor of Ankara, Mansour Yavash.

According to the agency, the candidate’s supporters greeted him with applause and shouts of “Kılıçdaroğlu is the pride of the people.”

Recall that Kemal Kilicdaroglu was nominated as a single candidate from seven opposition parties, the so-called “People’s Alliance”. Earlier, he spoke sharply against Russia and promised, if elected, to accelerate Turkey’s accession to the European Union, strengthen cooperation with NATO and improve relations with Washington.

Earlier, the current President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, voted in Istanbul.
