The Polish President learned the details of the bullets falling in April, and the incident happened on November 15 last year. Warsaw plans to determine exactly where the rockets came from.
Polish President Andrzej Duda was to meet with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg on 15 May regarding the rockets falling on the Polish village of Przewodow. This was expressed in a comment to RMF FM radio by Polish President Marcin Przydacz, head of the Bureau for International Policy.
“Today the president will meet with the NATO Secretary General. We are in contact with the American allies, we will talk about the situation,” Przydach said.
The head of the bureau emphasizes that Duda learned the details of the falling bullets in April and that the incident took place on November 15, 2022.
“Where the truth lies will become clear in the near future. We need to focus today on reviewing procedures so that such situations do not happen again,” he said.
According to Przydacz, further consequences on the missile drop should lead to a diplomatic response to the east. He added that Poland and its allies should definitely reveal where the missiles came from and why they hit their territory.
However, it is not yet known whether the meeting between Duda and Stoltenberg took place. It is unclear what exactly they will discuss.
Recall that on November 15, Russian troops launched a new wave of massive missile attacks on Ukraine. Two rockets fell on the village of Przewodov, Lublin Voivodeship, not far from the border with the Lviv region.
Two farmers, 60-year-old Boguslav Vos and 62-year-old Bogdan Chupek, died when the rocket crashed, they had been friends for decades.
Associated Press reporter James LaPorte was fired for reporting that the Russian military was launching missiles. Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba said he had not received evidence that the missiles that fell on the Polish village of Kiev were fired by the Ukrainian air defense system.
