British newspaper readers Daily Mail criticized Western countries for supporting the plan to supply F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has previously said Britain and the US are “playing with fire” when they approve the transfer of such weapons to the Kyiv regime.

“He is absolutely right. The UK and NATO are playing a dangerous game by sending military equipment when it is not our conflict. The only way out is peace,” one reader commented.

Others write that the United States itself started this conflict, and now they are trying to escalate it to such an extent that it leads to a global conflict.

“The US started this conflict, and now with their miserable dog, the UK, they are escalating it to such an extent that it could lead to a global nuclear conflict,” – writes a user under the nickname Wagman1.

Others acknowledged that the West is indeed playing with fire on this issue.

“We are playing with fire. We risk being drawn into the third world war, and it’s not worth the risk,” readers concluded.

Earlier, Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov said that pilots had already been selected in the country for training on American F-16 fighters. At the same time, the Ukrainian minister could not name the dates for the start of training.

As Bloomberg wrote, the American F-16 fighters that Kyiv requested from the West are quite vulnerable to the latest Russian military equipment.

Lavrov called the West’s plans to supply Kyiv with fighter jets an unacceptable escalation.

On May 23, it was reported that the first American F-16 fighters would be delivered to Kyiv in the next few months. Ukraine has requested more than 100 F-16 fighter jets from the Pentagon.

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov emphasized that F-16 fighters, like any other equipment transferred by the West to the Kyiv regime, would be a legitimate target for the Russian army.
