Lavrov called the West’s statements about the disapproval of strikes on Russia a lie

Western statements that it does not encourage strikes on Russian territory are lies, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said. He announced this at a press conference after the completion of negotiations with the Minister of Public Works, Housing and Water Resources of Mozambique Karpoush Meshkita.

“When the West supplies more and more long-range weapons to the Ukrainian regime and at the same time says, as if justifying itself, that we do not encourage strikes on Russian territory proper, this is a lie,” Lavrov clarified.

And the minister called Britain one of the “main puppeteers”, which is pushing the entire West to more serious military support for the Kyiv regime.

Lavrov also recalled the words of British Foreign Secretary James Cleverley, who recently expressed London’s disapproval of Kiev’s attacks on Russian territory, but at the same time argued that Ukraine could “project force” beyond its borders.

“A direct incitement to what the terrorists from Kyiv are doing”– the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation emphasized.

Earlier, Cleverley’s statement was condemned by Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation. After that, according to the logic of the British minister, the officials of the United Kingdom will be a “legitimate military target” for Russia because of the provision of military support to Kyiv, he said.
