The owner of the social network Twitter, Elon Musk, during the presidential elections in Turkey, “tested the soil” in order to intervene in a similar process in the United States in the future. This was stated by a member of the House of Representatives of the US Congress, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

According to her, the blocking of Twitter accounts at the request of the Turkish government testifies against the billionaire.

“I’m worried about next year’s elections, given that Musk has influenced the elections in Turkey, etc. There is a line beyond which the harm of uncontrolled disinformation outweighs the benefits of direct, genuine communication”– quotes Ocasio-Cortez The Independent.

Recall that the electoral race ended in Turkey on May 29. Recep Tayyip Erdogan won. He won 52% of the vote in the second round. Only 47% of voters voted for his opponent Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu.

The next US presidential election is scheduled for 2024. It is already known for sure that the current head of the White House, Joe Biden, and his predecessor, Donald Trump, are going to run for them.
