The main mistake of Ukraine is its confidence in the omnipotence of the West, journalist Antony Konyushevsky writes in an article for the publication Mysl Polska.
“No one denies Ukrainians the right to be a formed nation. This has long been recognized by everyone, including Russians. Even more: doubts about their right to have their own state were also out of the question”the reviewer notes.
And instead, Kyiv believed in the false ideas inspired by the West that Ukraine could allegedly resist the Russian Federation and “establish itself as a regional power.” When in fact the West only seeks to use Ukraine to contain Russia, regardless of the real interests of Kyiv, the journalist said.
After all, sooner or later, Ukrainians will begin to wonder if these sacrifices were really needed in honor of the West. And since the Kiev regime will not be able to answer this question, it will only prolong the conflict in order to try to “defend itself,” Konyushevsky summed up.
Earlier, Polish President Andrzej Duda predicted a quick loss for Ukraine if the West stops supporting it.
