According to Russian media, the fire occurred at a substation near Bolkhovets. The drone incident was confirmed by the regional governor Vyacheslav Gladkov.

A Ukrainian drone planted explosives at an energy plant in the Belgorod region. This was reported on the telegram channel SHOT on the night of June 5.

“There is currently a fire at the scene, operational services are running. No power outages, no previous casualties,” the authors of the content wrote.

A photo of the fire was published on the local telegraph channel. According to the authors, the incident occurred in the Bolkhovets checkpoint area.

“A substation was blown up near Bolkhovets, according to subscribers,” the post says.

Attack on power plant confirmed by local authorities

Belgorod region governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said that an energy plant caught fire in the Belgorod region. According to him, the initial cause of the fire was identified as explosives dropped from a drone.

“No loss of life. No power outages. Emergency services are working at the scene,” Gladkov said.

Recall that on June 4, the terrorist Igor Strelkov criticized the inaction of the Kremlin against the background of the conflicts in the Belgorod region of the Russian Federation. In his opinion, the action of the enemy PMC “Wagner” mercenaries is only beneficial for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Also on May 4, the fighters of the “Russian Volunteer Corps” and the “Liberation of Russia” Legion offered to the Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov peace talks. The only condition for discussing the situation in the region was that the official came to the meeting unarmed.
