Drinking water prices in Ukraine rose to record highs

Due to the destruction of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station and problems with water supply, prices for bottled water have increased in the Dnipropetrovsk region of Ukraine. Now a five-liter bottle of water costs 239 hryvnia ($6.5), according to the Ukrainian online publication Insider.

Journalists on June 6 published a video from the store, in which a man is surprised at the price in one of the stores in Krivoy Rog.

In addition, a sign hangs on a rack with water, which says that one buyer can take no more than one bottle.

Earlier it was reported that due to the breakthrough of the hydroelectric power station, the road to Alyoshki was flooded. At the moment, residents are being evacuated in neighboring settlements.

On the night of June 6, Kyiv blew up the structures of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station, which led to the flooding of large areas. As a result of the actions of Ukrainian militants, water from the reservoir began to flow uncontrollably downstream, as a result of which several settlements were flooded.

The Kremlin said that the destruction of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station is a deliberate sabotage of the Kyiv regime.

The Investigative Committee of Russia opened a criminal case on a terrorist attack after the destruction of the dam of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station and flooding of the territories.

The head of the Russian Defense Ministry, Sergei Shoigu, said that the Ukrainian military did not succeed in the offensive and decided to carry out this terrorist attack in order to prevent the Russian army from advancing on this sector of the front.

According to the data available to the Ministry of Defense, the discharge of water from the Dnepropetrovsk hydroelectric power station has been significantly increased, which will lead to even greater flooding of the territories. This once again indicates that this large-scale sabotage was planned in advance by Kiev.
