“No evidence”: US scientists once again doubt China’s role in the origin of COVID-19

Employees of the American security and intelligence services do not exclude that the coronavirus is of laboratory origin, but they have not found a single confirmation of this.

So far, there is no direct evidence confirming the emergence of the COVID-19 virus in the laboratory conditions of the Wuhan Institute of Virology in Wuhan, China. According to Reurers, this is stated in the report of the United States Department of National Intelligence.

U.S. security and intelligence officials have speculated about the possible origin of COVID-19 from the lab, but there is currently no evidence for this theory.

“Both hypotheses (natural and laboratory) regarding the origin of the virus are based on assumptions or run into problems due to conflicting reports,” the report said.

Some US security and intelligence officials pointed to the coronavirus experiments being conducted at the Wuhan Institute of Virology. However, no evidence of an event that could lead to a pandemic was found.

The origin of the coronavirus pandemic has been the subject of debate since the outbreak began in late 2019, when the first cases of human infection were reported in Wuhan. This has led to research and international efforts to find the exact source and route of transmission of the virus.

In March this year, US President Joe Biden signed a bill requiring the declassification of information about the origin of COVID-19.

Recall that he previously found “zero patients” with COVID-19 in his Wuhan lab. Scientists said they were bitten by bats while collecting specimens in the cave in 2017.

Scientists also learned how the SARS-CoV-2 virus affects the human brain. Neurons in the brains of those with the disease can combine and work in sync.
