In Mexico, a mayor married a female crocodile in a traditional ceremony believed to bring good luck to his people. The marriage between a man and a woman caiman has been here for 230 years.
Victor Hugo Sosa, mayor of San Pedro Huamelula, a Chontal indigenous city on the Tehuantepec Isthmus in Mexico, married a reptile named Alicia Adriana, who was repeating her ancestral ritual. Sky News writes about it.

During the ceremony, the mayor said, “I take responsibility because we love each other. That’s what matters. Without love there is no marriage … I agree to marry a princess girl.”
The union between a male and a female caiman has been held here for 230 years in honor of the day the two indigenous groups reconciled by marriage.
