The Ukrainian edition of “Strana” on the evening of July 5 reported an explosion and shooting in the Shevchenko court in Kyiv. According to the portal, Igor Gumenyuk, accused of the terrorist attack near the Verkhovna Rada, tried to escape and blew up three grenades in the escort room of the court building, then snatched a gun from the escort and allegedly took a hostage. The Ukrainian police confirmed the information about the explosion in court.
Later there was a message about the second explosion in the Shevchenko court. After him, a policeman ran out of the courthouse and demanded an ambulance. Previously, the Ukrainian special forces launched an assault.
It is also known that two law enforcement officers were injured in the incident.
According to preliminary information, an attempt to escape from under the convoy was made by Igor Gumenyuk, who is accused in the case of a terrorist attack near the walls of the Verkhovna Rada in September 2015. As a result of the terrorist attack committed by Gumenyuk, four Ukrainian security officials were killed. About 140 more people were injured.
