As soon as the local youth learned about the cocaine packages found, they started scanning the beach with torches. Later they said they wanted to help the police in the search.
Irish police continue to scan the country’s north coast area where two giant cocaine bags have been washed up. Law enforcement said these drug bags weighed around 60kg. This was reported on the British news channel Sky News on July 22.
The material says the review has not yet determined the contents of the packages, but that they contained cocaine, with a total estimated value of 4m euros, according to preliminary data.
This story was not without curiosity. After the discovery became known, locals said they spotted a group of youths scanning the shore with torches on the Horn Head peninsula outside of Dunfanaga.
Then another group appeared on the shoreline in Bloody Foreland looking for something. As it turned out later, they told law enforcement that they wanted to assist the local police in the search.
“Detectives are asking coastal landowners in the Fanad Head area, as well as anyone using the north Donegal coast, to contact them if they see such packages or any other marine debris,” the journalists said.
We wrote earlier that local sharks in Florida are addicted to cocaine. The scientists conducted a series of experiments and discovered that the sharks living in these areas have sensitive feelings towards cargo dumped into the ocean by smugglers.
