The South African authorities did not invite French President Emmanuel Macron to the BRICS summit, which will be held in the country from August 22 to 24, writes portal News24 with reference to the words of the emissary of South Africa to the BRICS, Professor Anil Suklal.

“Despite the request for an invitation, French President Emmanuel Macron did not receive it,” – stated in the publication.

During a speech on July 20, Suklal said that representatives of 69 countries of the Global South were invited to the summit, including representatives of 54 countries in Africa.
