The Foreign Ministry called the statement about the admission of Kyiv to NATO without new territories of the Russian Federation a stuffing

The statements of the Chief of Staff of NATO Secretary General Stian Jensen about the possibility of Kyiv’s membership in the organization are a stuffing that pursues certain political goals. This opinion was expressed by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova, her words are quoted by Sputnik.

Zakharova pointed to the earlier words of the NATO representative that Kyiv could allegedly join the alliance if it renounces the territories that it refuses to recognize as part of the Russian Federation. Jensen believes the solution could be for the Kiev regime to “give up territory and get NATO membership in return.”

“We are talking about some kind of forwarding, some kind of stuffing, which has certain political goals”– concluded the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

Earlier, the former Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov said that joining NATO is unprofitable for the ordinary population. The Kiev regime sees the main interest in joining the Alliance.

Former US envoy to NATO Douglas Lewt said that the Ukrainian authorities need to work on non-military requirements for the country’s entry into NATO, because Kyiv does not yet meet the levels of anti-corruption measures and democratic standards of the alliance.

It is worth noting that at the NATO summit in Vilnius, Ukraine was made clear that no one in the bloc was waiting for it.
