The US authorities currently see no reason to change the level of readiness of their strategic forces because of any steps by Russia and Belarus regarding nuclear weapons. The corresponding statement was made by Pentagon spokesman Patrick Ryder.
“I won’t go into details about any intelligence. We have seen media reports from Russia that they intend to do this.“, – Ryder reacted to the message that Russia is deploying nuclear weapons on the territory of Belarus.
In addition, we are talking about the statement of the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko about his readiness to use “the entire arsenal” in case of aggression against his state.
Ryder declined to comment on the plans of Russia and Belarus, TASS reports.
At the same time, he stressed that the United States does not intend to change the alignment of strategic forces.
Earlier it was reported that Russia is a sovereign state due to the creation of nuclear weapons 80 years ago. This opinion was expressed on the sidelines of the Army-2023 forum by Mikhail Kovalchuk, President of the National Research Center Kurchatov Institute.
