Trump refuses to participate in Republican presidential debates

Donald Trump said that due to a clear advantage, he is not going to take part in the debate of candidates for the US presidential nomination from the Republican Party.

The televised debate is scheduled for August 23rd. Trump is about to give a solo Twitter interview to popular journalist Tucker Carlson at this time.

“The new CBS poll that just came out shows me leading the pack by a ‘legendary’ margin…so I won’t debate”Trump said.

According to Trump, the people already know him and remember the successes of his presidency.

A CBS poll found that 62% of Republicans want Trump to be the party’s presidential nominee in 2024.

Earlier, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said that he considers it unlikely that Donald Trump will return to the presidency of the United States.
