The Foreign Ministers of Japan, South Korea and the US Secretary of State will discuss by telephone the launch of a launch vehicle with a reconnaissance satellite by the DPRK. This was announced by the Secretary General of the Cabinet of Ministers of Japan Hirokazu Matsuno.
At present, according to him, the organization of telephone conversations between the heads of the foreign ministries of the three states is being carried out.
“The Ministry of Defense is currently analyzing incoming information“, – Matsuno told reporters, commenting on the information that the rocket launch was unsuccessful.
Recall that on the night of August 23-24, North Korea launched a launch vehicle, presumably with its first reconnaissance satellite, which flew over Japan towards the Pacific Ocean. The J-Alert warning system went off in Japan. Residents were urged to take shelter in buildings or underground.
The KCNA later reported that the launch had ended in failure. The cause was an error in the emergency detonation system.
