It contained a business card as well as money. Rather than take a substantial sum for himself, the man found and managed to locate the owner of the lost wallet.
Fishing in a lake in Minnesota (USA), 14-year-old Connor Halsa found a wallet full of money dropped by an Iowa farmer a year ago. UPI writes about it.
The teenager said he was fishing in the Lake of the Woods with his family when the rope was stretched.
“It felt like I caught a big fish and I hooked the hook very hard,” said Khalsa.
Pulling up the line, he discovered that there was a wet wallet with $2,000 in it.
The business card on the wallet helped the family locate its owner, Iowa farmer Jim Denny, who said he lost his wallet while fishing in the lake a year ago. She didn’t realize she had lost it until she looked for money in her overalls to pay her vacation bill.
“This is the worst feeling I’ve ever had because I didn’t have a penny. The possibility of finding a wallet or hooking it up in 20 feet of water… I don’t think there is such a number,” said Farmer. .
Danny came to the boy’s family from Iowa to get his wallet. He offered Hals a cash reward, but the teenager refused.
As a result, the farmer gave the boy a separate bowl and invited his family to dinner to say thank you.
