Erdogan sharply responded to the American journalist who interrupted him

Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan sharply responded to an employee of the American PBS television channel Amna Nawaz, who tried to interrupt him while he was answering a question about Osman Kavala, who was sentenced to life imprisonment.

“If the judiciary has decided in this direction, then let us respect that decision of the judiciary. I cannot speak on behalf of the judiciary.”Erdogan said.

He expressed his dissatisfaction with journalist Amna Nawaz, who tried to interrupt him several times.

“You have no right to interrupt. You will respect, you will respect the decision of the judicial authorities”,” the politician pointed out.

Osman Kavala Turkish entrepreneur and philanthropist, founder of the cultural foundation Anadolu Kültür AŞ. He supports ethnic and religious minorities, advocates reconciliation between Turkish and Armenian citizens, as well as a peaceful solution to the Kurdish issue.

In Turkey, he was accused of participating in a coup attempt in 2016.

Earlier, the embassies of 10 countries called on Turkey to release Kavala. The Turkish Foreign Ministry summoned the ambassadors of these countries and reminded them of the need to comply with the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations.
