Lavrov and the head of the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry agreed to deepen trade ties

Foreign Ministers of Russia and Venezuela Sergei Lavrov and Ivan Gil agreed to strengthen trade ties between the two countries. The Russian Foreign Ministry reported this.

The meeting of the heads of foreign affairs departments took place on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York.

“The ministers noted the dynamic development of bilateral relations in line with the strategic partnership“, – TBC in a message from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Lavrov and Gil discussed steps to comprehensively strengthen relations between Russia and Venezuela, with an emphasis on increasing trade, investment, scientific and technical ties.

In addition, the ministers discussed expanding cultural and humanitarian exchanges, as well as improving the legal framework.

Earlier it became known that Lavrov met with IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi. They discussed in detail the safety issues of the Zaporozhye NPP.
