The lucky lottery winners didn’t even bother checking their tickets because they didn’t expect to win.
A couple from South Carolina (USA) heard about their unexpected lottery winnings when local television news reminded anyone who purchased lottery tickets to check, UPI writes.
“The Aiden couple told South Carolina Education Lottery officials that they were watching the news when they heard that someone had won a $200,000 prize in the Aug. 9 Palmetto Cash 5 drawing and had not yet notified organizers,” the publication reported.
But the lucky ones did not immediately realize that it was their tickets that were under discussion.
“I was wondering if I could be one too,” his wife recalls.
The amount of earnings amazed the spouses – 200 thousand dollars, which they did not expect at all. However, they later told the media that they had already used this money for good purposes.
let’s remind this Focus He wrote that last November a man bought a winning ticket at a local gas station. He received $997.6 million after taxes. His fortune has become greater than that of stars such as Tom Cruise or Madonna.
Previously Focus reported that a woman remembered her late husband and won the jackpot. She chose numbers that reminded her of her loved ones.
It was also learned that the lottery winner lost a fortune and was arrested for murder. The man was supposed to receive the reward in monthly payments of 156 thousand dollars for 20 years. Despite the accusations, he continued to be paid monthly whether he was in prison or not.
