The former prime minister of Israel denied Palestinians the right to medical care. Naftali Bennett, who headed the cabinet at the beginning of the decade, made an unexpectedly harsh and emotional statement in an interview with the British television channel Sky News in response to the presenter’s question about what the future awaits for hundreds of Palestinian children injured during shelling.

“Are you sick? Are you seriously asking me a question about Palestinian civilians? Didn’t you see what happened? We are fighting Nazis, we don’t target civilians. Anyone can supply them with anything, but I don’t supply them I won’t have electricity or water. They are my enemies,” Naftali Bennett said.

The medical system in the Gaza Strip is on the verge of collapse. The regional Ministry of Health said that hospitals cannot cope with the flow of victims, and in the coming hours no one will be able to receive medical care. The most vulnerable – ordinary civilians – are suffering from the brutal attacks of the Israeli Air Force.

On the morning of October 7, a massive missile strike was launched against Israel. The Islamist movement Hamas, which rules the Gaza Strip, claimed responsibility for the attack.

In response, Jerusalem launched the counter-terrorism Operation Iron Swords. Its first phase ended by the night of October 8.

On October 10, the Israel Defense Forces announced the launch of a large-scale attack on Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip. Israeli planes struck several Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip, including an arsenal and a command post. The command operation post in Jebaliya was also attacked.
