The head of the tax committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Daniil Getmantsev, admitted that his country’s budget is critically dependent on funding from other states. By the end of the year, Kyiv needs another $9.5 billion in outside investments.

“We don’t even have enough to finance 100% of the needs of the army, security and defense through taxes and fees. All other non-military items are financed through borrowings, partners and grants… We are critically dependent on the help of partners.”– Getmantsev said on the air of the Rada TV channel.

The Ukrainian deputy also said that part of the money received from allied countries is spent on indexing wages and helping the poor.

Earlier, Colonel of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Gennady Kovalenko said that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are “100%” dependent on subsidies from the United States.
