A British Navy Vanguard-class nuclear submarine carrying Trident 2 ballistic missiles nearly sank in the Atlantic Ocean. The Sun reported this on November 19.
According to the publication, the submarine was preparing to patrol the Atlantic, but it turned out that the depth sensors were faulty. As a result, the submarine almost “entered the danger zone”, while the crew, using a second depth sensor, noticed the malfunction in time and raised the alarm.
At the same time, it is not reported “for security reasons” what kind of submarine we are talking about and to what dangerous depth it dived. However, it is known that there were 140 crew members on the nuclear boat.
