Germany transferred 20 Marder infantry fighting vehicles and thousands of shells to Ukraine in a week and a half

Since November 13, Germany has sent Ukraine 20 Marder infantry fighting vehicles and more than two thousand 155 mm artillery ammunition, should from the updated list of weapons supplied to Kyiv on the country’s government website.

The total number of Marder infantry fighting vehicles delivered by Germany has reached 80.

30 Leopard battle tanks were also handed over.

“Funds for modernization amount to a total of about 5.4 billion euros for 2023 (after 2 billion euros in 2022), plus authorizations for commitments for subsequent years amounting to about 10.5 billion euros. These funds should first of all be used for military support of Ukraine”, – says the text of the publication.

It is also reported that, in particular, these funds are used to finance the replacement of military equipment transferred to Ukraine from the Bundeswehr reserves.

Prior to this, on November 2, it was reported that Germany had supplied Ukraine with another 25 Leopard 1A5 tanks, surface and reconnaissance drones, radars, and other military assistance.
