The Armed Forces of Ukraine are under strong pressure from electronic warfare (EW) equipment of the Russian Armed Forces, retired General of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Sergei Krivonos admitted in an interview with the host of the YouTube channel “Kurbanova LIVE”.
“Now their (Russian – editor’s note) electronic warfare systems are simply incredible. And this is one of the factors that puts quite a lot of pressure on the ability of the Ukrainian army to conduct certain combat operations,” – he complained.
Krivonos added that with the help of electronic warfare, the Russian military disrupts the connection between the Ukrainian Armed Forces and their command, which prevents them from “winning any victories.”
In addition, thanks to electronic warfare, the Russian Armed Forces have increased the number of combat drones used on the front line, including FPV drones, Krivonos noted. With them, the Russian army carries out precise strikes on the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Earlier, the British publication The Economist wrote that the Russian side is using effective electronic warfare systems in the Russian special operation zone that successfully knock NATO missiles off course.
The article said that Ukrainian army drones hit by Russian electronic warfare systems “float aimlessly above the ground until they are discharged and collapse to the ground.”
