Media: more than 60 people became victims of Israeli strikes in southern Gaza

Israeli military strikes on the town of Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip led to the death of more than 60 people. reported Palestinian news agency WAFA on Sunday, December 3.

According to the agency, during December 3, the Israeli army carried out numerous shellings in various areas of the Gaza Strip, as a result of which dozens of people were killed and injured.

“More than 60 people were killed in the southern Gaza Strip, in Khan Yunis, after planes fired dozens of rockets at a number of areas in the east and center of the city.”says the agency.

Earlier, US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin spoke about the course of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and warned Israel about the risk of defeat. He pointed out that the Israeli army is engaged in urban warfare against an enemy defending itself in one of the most densely populated areas in the world and in battles of this kind the center of gravity is the civilian population: if driven into the arms of the enemy, a tactical victory can turn into a strategic defeat.
