Former US President Donald Trump has decided no longer to testify in a New York court in a case of fraud in the valuation of assets of the Trump Organization. He wrote about this on his page on the social network Truth Social.

The former President of the United States was expected to appear in court on December 11 in New York. According to Trump, he has already given all his testimony. The former American leader added that this is election interference.

Recall that Trump was accused of deceiving financial and insurance organizations regarding the sale of real estate with the help of his company, the Trump Organization. New York Attorney General Letitia James said the former president exaggerated his net worth when making deals and deliberately overvalued his assets.

Now former US President Donald Trump faces 91 charges in four criminal cases. In total, he faces more than 700 years in prison. The businessman himself denies everything, saying that his criminal prosecution is an attempt by the Democrats to prevent him from returning to the White House.

On September 12, Russian President Vladimir Putin called Trump’s trials “persecution for political reasons.” What is happening, he said, demonstrates “the rottenness of the American political system.” Because of this, Putin added, Washington has no right teach other countries about democracy.
